Trapped Blessings

A close friend of mine shared something beautiful with me. Visualize this:

Anything you want - be it refua, parnassah, zivug, shalom bayit, etc. - is 'trapped' inside a treasure box in Shamayim. The key is already in the lock on the treasure box. All you need to do is turn the lock to open the treasure box and receive the brachot!
Your tefillot are the force to turn the key.
Through sincere, powerful tefillah -- one can expect to have enough power to turn the key.

  2. That's a really nice mashal. Thank you so much.

There has to be more to it though becomes not always does the tefillah we daven bring about the results we want...even if it was a sincere prayer. There is also another aspect - of building a relationship and learning to always talk to and turn to Hashem for anything and everything and not giving up on Him no matter what happens.

  3. Well said!

Rabbi Shimshon Pinkus zt"l says something similar in the forward of one of his many fantastic sefarim called שערים תפילה. It's all there waiting for us- it's possible we even deserve it- but if we don't ask, we won't receive.

  4. Over the past 5 months, there have been only 10 messages from Sefardi Gal.
That is not enough. We need more Sefardi Gal.
