I feel oh so special.
I think I'm the only person in the world with water-proof purple liquid eyeliner on her foot.
Yes, you've read that correctly.
Yesterday, it was pouring rain outside. I ran into one of the nearest stores - sephora. For all who don't know, sephora is a relatively expensive make-up store where you can try on just about any of their products. As a result, sometimes I come out of there looking like a clown.
I saw some eccentric purple liquid eyeliner and thought "hey, why not?"
I applied it onto my eyes, and it looked kind of nice. Different from the usual black that I use. As I was looking in the mirror (oh, vanity), a lady walked by and unintentionally knocked over the liquid eyeliner.
Some of it splashed on my foot. I was wearing tan tights, and the purple went straight through the tights.
So, now, my foot has purple waterproof eyeliner on it.
It's not coming off so easiy.
I think I'm the only person in the world (1 in 6+ BILLION people) with waterproof purple eyeliner on her foot.
I'm sure it'll come off.
I HOPE!!!
Otherwise, it'll have to go on my shidduch resume. Who will want to marry a girl with a purple foot???? I think there's a law that you can't go into any hotel lobby if you have a purple foot.
More restaurants? Ohhhh the pain. Oh, the agony. The torture!
But for now, I feel truly unique.
Now, off to write papers!

I love funky eyeliner..i use purple, green, blue, gold, brown, navy, grey...I love it..let me know how long it stayed..maybe i'll invest in it.
ReplyDeleteHaha I walked home from a vort the other night in the pouring rain (without an umbrella) and unluckily, my mascara wasn't waterproof. Came home looking quite "mascary."
ReplyDeleteDid you try some makeup remover or alcohol prep pads on your foot?
Aminspiration - you'll love this brand, then! It had a lot of funky colors, and apparently, it stays on the skin for quite a while. Check it out:

Corti - Mascary! Love that phrase. Yeah I hate when that happens. Or (hypothetically, of course) when I'm crying and then it gets into my eye. ARRRRG!
I didn't put any make up remover. I don't really care enough to take it off yet. If it lasts till tomorrow, I'll take extra care l'kavod Shabbat kodesh.
But in the meantime, I'm getting a kick (no pun intended :D) out of it!
kl..i will check it out
ReplyDeleteI love shopping for makeup. There are no issues of it being too tight, too short, or too anything, ebecause you can adjust it to you liking. Today I was at Lord and Taylor and it was totally a zoo...when your not successful shopping for clothing it makes it feel like a total waste of time...
ReplyDeleteOh gosh, that must've been pretty funny to whoever saw you!
ReplyDeleteSo how long did it take to get off?
And you should look out for waterproof mascara - they're especially useful at chuppahs...or any other emotional time this way your face isn't dripping with streaks of color!
So now your identity is potentially discoverable, eh? Muahahahaha.. I mean, you said it yourself: "I think I'm the only person in the world (1 in 6+ BILLION people) with waterproof purple eyeliner on her foot."
ReplyDeleteDun dun dun dun....
Tika4eva - for sure. Make-up and accessories make up for any lack of clothing shopping success. :D
ReplyDeleteDevorah - it took a couple of days...there's still a little bit left. This eyeliner is probably really long-lasting on the eyes and good for lasting throughout Shabbat/Yom Tov.
Waterproof mascara is more clumpy for me, and also, it's quite difficult to remove. But it's definitely useful for those super rainy days!
Shocked - YES! Hope you looked out for me a few days ago, because if not, you've missed your chance because it's mainly off now. :P
SG-Maybe I'm cheap when it comes to mascara or it's just that I've found the one that works best for me but the Maybelline Full n Soft Waterproof works best for me.
ReplyDeleteI bought it the first time when my friend was getting married and I knew that chuppah was going to be a very emotional one (which one isn't? :-p but this one especially so). It was perfect! No runny eyes at all. I bawled away at that wedding and after the chuppah went to check out my face in the bathroom - everyone else was puffy red eyed and on my face, you couldn't tell a thing!
I guess that's a bracha I've gotten since I'm very emotional and cry easily - that it's hard to tell after that I was just crying. :-D
Hm, still a chance then if there's some left :P
ReplyDeleteBut you're probably not wearing shoes that allow for your purple-colored legs to shine through and I think it would be just a tad, weird/inappropriate/awkward/assur/insane if I went around asking all frum girls between the ages of 20 and 24 (If I did know how old you are from a different post, I forgot lol) to take off their shoes :P
"Legs"=foot in my befuddled and tired brain :P
ReplyDeleteShocked - as far as I remember, I never posted my age on any post. But I think it's kind of obvious by now.
ReplyDeleteThen I guess it's my memory... *sigh*
ReplyDelete%Shocked% - it happens. Something we have to deal with as we get older :D
ReplyDeleteI've got an eyeliner post in the works. Except I've never been able to work with liquid eyeliner.
ReplyDeleteMen think the search for makeup is so tame. Little do they know.
